I want to give a big thank you to the authors of the helicopters for their very nice models, and the painters of the various liveries.

PLEASE NOTE that AI helicopters are really STOL aircraft, and will not hover. They will also sometimes exhibit bizarre behavior. I have tried to minimize this, but they will still do it once in a while. :)

INSTALLATION

This EXE installer will NOT create a Start Menu entry, registry entry, uninstall program
or anything else, other than copying the relevant files to the proper folders. You may
install to a temporary folder by pressing the ... button and copying things by hand if you wish.

WARNING! THIS PACKAGE IS DESIGNED TO BE USED AS AN ADDON TO THE CALCLASSIC CALIFORNIA 59/62 SCENERY AND CALCLASSIC AI TRAFFIC (RECENT UPDATE). Do NOT install this unless you also have those packages installed.

WARNING! If you installed the alpha version of this package, read the "If you installed the alpha.txt" file found in this zip package.

WARNING! This will install updated versions of the KLAX (1959 and 1962) and KSFO (1962) AFCAD files. If you have made edits to these files install this package to a temp folder and install it manually, omitting the KLAX AFCAD files in the CA59/scenery and CA62/scenery folders and the KSFO AFCAD file in the CA62/scenery folder.

NOTE: You MUST have installed the CalClassic California 59/62 scenery and the CalClassic AI traffic zip file and added them to your Scenery Library to see these helicopters!

The Sabena heliports use many objects from the Classic Scenery Libraries v2 compiled by Wolfgang Gersch (Classic_Libraries_v2.zip at flightsim.com, also linked on the CalClassic Scenery page). Download and install this package, if you have not done so already.

Also download and install the Central Europe 1961 scenery ( central_europe_1961.zip ) and the Central Europe 1961 - Belgian Airports
(Central Europe 1961 - Belgium.zip) ,which can be found at Avsim.com, and at Flightsim.com (possibly under a different file name).

Also requires the FS 9.1 update (install from Microsoft)

1. Quit FS2004 if running.

2. Double click the zip file to open it. You will find
this text file and a file called SetupHeli62.exe.

3. Double click the SetupHeli.exe file to start the installation. Press the Run button at
the warning screen. If it doesn't find your FS2004 folder automatically, press the ... button
and browse to it. Follow the instructions to install.

4. Check to see you have the extra scenery libraries listed above, and if not download and
install them into the locations listed above, or into the scenery folder you use for this purpose.

5. Start FS2004, and press Esc/End Flight if flying. Click on Settings, then Scenery Library.

6. If you do not see a CalClassic Landclass entry in your listing, press the Add Area button. Double click on Addon
Scenery, then single click on CalClassic Landclass. Click OK. For System 7 or later, click in the white area of the box to add the layer.

7. If you do not see a CalClassic Heliports entry in your listing, press the Add Area button. Double click on Addon
Scenery, then single click on CalClassic Heliports. Click OK. For System 7 or later, click in the white area of the box to add the layer.

8. If not already added, add the folder you use for your addon library objects (installed in step 4) to the scenery library as in step 6.

9. Quit and restart FS2004.
