Boeing B314A 'Clipper' Handling Notes
*************************************
The four 1,350hp Wright Double Cyclone engines are
carburetted with manual mixture control (USE AUTO in FS9) and very modestly
supercharged to give max cruise power up to FL60. These engines require 95
Octane AVGAS or better and can deliver 1600hp briefly for take off. The
constant speed screws can be feathered but have no reverse pitch.
*WAR EMERGENCY ONLY*
Departures at emergency war overload weights may be
attempted without flap and with + 20 trim. During a flapless wartime emergency
weight departure do not exceed 120 KIAS on the water. The following procedures
apply at certificated max gross. For more detail see Briefing.txt.

Carb Heat:
Desending with < 30 inches
MAP with an OAT below 45F use carb heat periodically
to clear carburettor ice. Continuous use of carb heat
is not recommended.
